I’m here at AIT and I have this drill sergeant that absolutely hates everything me and another person in our platoon does the first 2 weeks we did get off on the wrong hand but I just wasn’t use to the freedom coming fresh out of basic I told her that and I’ve been staying under the radar for a while but she just looks for any and everything to chow us out about or give us a counseling so today we had a random room expectation and our rooms got trashed me and the guy she hates also so what she did was thrower everything out our drawers and brought the females to our room and told them that this is how we live and we’re dirty so she took our phones and a couple more guys I gave her a phone but she said I had more than one phone so she made me open my locker and searched through my bags in my locked locker with no permission and found a old phone I was wrong for not turning it in but everyone is telling me to go talk to my 1Sgt because it wasn’t right how I was the only one that got searched and she was never given permission to search any of my personal belongings she just decided to and made me open my locker should I talk to my first sergeant about this? Or is this just something I should just deal with 8 more weeks because I think she is trying to get me put out and I can’t take it

Sounds like you're a shitbird. Stop being being a bitch. You're a boot and this is military life for boots, especially shitbird boots. Forget your hurt feelings and get yourself back on track doing the job.

As a former DS and 1SG, I loved it when Soldiers came to me to complain about how they are being treated unfairly or being singled out by other DS's or Senior NCO's. Things of this nature makes my spidy sense tingle when 99.99% of the time, the Soldier has done something to call for fire on their own position. So, take a long hard look at yourself in the mirrior and think about WHY this type of treatment is happeneing to you. Or better yet, WHAT DID YOU DO? Now, you have every right to go up the Chain of Command and air out your dirty laundry, but what is the desired outcome you are trying to get from it all? If you haven't learned yet in your young career, the Army has rules and regulations for EVERYTHING you do. If you are in the right place, at the right time, and doing the right thing, you'll live long and prosper.
Don't let the mistake(s) you've made define you. If you want to not be singled out, then follow suit. If the treatment is illegal, immorale, or unethical... then that would be the reason to raise the red flag. Just remember to tell the entire story and not just your side of it. Good luck and keep us posted!

Seriously? Life isn't one very long sentence. If a person is unable to follow simple rules of behavior that are there for everyone, how could that person be trusted on their own. The object is to teach responsibility and weed out those who can't be trusted to actually do a job. Supply is the backbone that keeps a service in operation. I believe you are required to be that responsible person.

Suck it up buttercup. Either comply or go to your commanding officer. Each branch is the same when it comes to rules and regulations. You fucked up and didn't listen. Take your lick and learn from it. Don't kiss ass, make them know you are serious by your follow up actions. Going to the internet to find the answer you want to hear is a flaw in your character. You WILL NOT get the answer you are wanting. Welcome to military.

The first thing you need to do is learn how to use punctuation. You graduated high school, correct? Write like it.

Just share this lost with your DS and then go to your 1SG.

1SG (Join to see) have some good advice. I’d also check your commanders barracks policy letter. They should be easy to find as they are required to be accessible to the public. Just don’t do anything stupid and follow all orders then report up. If she tells you to tie your boot laces together. The expectation is you tell the next person in your chain of command but they will expect you to have your bootlaces tied together.

No sympathy. Did Basic at Ft. Lewis before it was combined, whatever that is(1971) and AIT at Ft. Sill. D.I's were GODS or at least on a first name basis with the Deity. Part of all training is DISCIPLINE. It saves lives. Talk with the first shirt? You gotta be kiddin'.
