Can a Drill sergeant search you and only you without permission?

I’m here at AIT and I have this drill sergeant that absolutely hates everything me and another person in our platoon does the first 2 weeks we did get off on the wrong hand but I just wasn’t use to the freedom coming fresh out of basic I told her that and I’ve been staying under the radar for a while but she just looks for any and everything to chow us out about or give us a counseling so today we had a random room expectation and our rooms got trashed me and the guy she hates also so what she did was thrower everything out our drawers and brought the females to our room and told them that this is how we live and we’re dirty so she took our phones and a couple more guys I gave her a phone but she said I had more than one phone so she made me open my locker and searched through my bags in my locked locker with no permission and found a old phone I was wrong for not turning it in but everyone is telling me to go talk to my 1Sgt because it wasn’t right how I was the only one that got searched and she was never given permission to search any of my personal belongings she just decided to and made me open my locker should I talk to my first sergeant about this? Or is this just something I should just deal with 8 more weeks because I think she is trying to get me put out and I can’t take it

This is a very funny question. What has happened to our military! Soldiers have rights now? Get the F*^% outta here with this. You are a GI. Get over it or go home!

Please just get out now and save a lot on NCO's and Officer the pain of having to deal with you, your future dereliction of duties, your excuses, and your un and under educated barracks lawyers!!!

That DS has every right to go through the room that they assigned to you. And if you give them the slightest suggestion that there might be something that's not being kept to standard they can and will do what they must to train you to the standards.
If you think it stops at AIT graduation think again. You will be assigned a room that the SGM, 1SG and your Platoon SGT over sees. You will keep it to their standards and if you have a good SGT they will insure you do keep to the standards. I spent many Saturdays and evenings in Soldiers rooms and houses on and off post insuring they were to a set standard.
So your DS is trying to help you out by training you to follow the standards.
But remember someone let the DS know you had a phone, maybe the same person that told you to go see the 1SG. Hmmmm??

It should never be a question of if your Drill Sergeant is doing the right thing. You should be asking yourself that question. Are you trying to circumvent the lawful orders given, or are you stepping up to your duty, and taking responsibility for your own actions that got you into trouble in the first place. Honor and integrity are everything. If you don't have either, you have no business being in the military. Period.

Well soldier judging that this was possibly posted 2 months ago you're done with it and moving on to your new duty station but getting back to the situation at hand army d.s to me have been neutered from what we used to have they're job is to toughen you up mentally and physically when this d.s did was within their job sure it sucks but you look back on it in a couple years you'll come to realize that that d.s helped you develop as a leader take it as a life lesson and carry on

Yeah you go tell your 1sg what your DS did. If he's worth a shit, he will dog your punk ass out and after he's done let the DS mop up the rest of you. I dreamed about having a punk like you in my Platoon! They didn't last long!

Learn the rules and play by the rules.....if you can’t follow simple instructions then get out you do not belong in a disciplined environment and might become toxic to the rest of your squad.
