I am currently an AGR SFC. I want to go back in active duty. Current MOS is 79V and prior MOS was 13B. Will I be reduced to SSG again to enlist into active duty as a prior service applicant?

You need to check with a recruiter and the latest USAREC’s Business Rules.

SFC (Join to see) Wait....is a 79V asking about recruiting questions?

Are you retired? Are you beyond 16 years? You'll have to talk with an AD recruiter, but if you do not have any lost time, I don't see why they would.

Neither to both. 79V is retention for the USAR. I’ve done recruiting duty when I was active and am familiar with the business rules but I read them different and a few other recruiters I’ve talked to seem to interpret them differently.

SFC (Join to see) - Cool. You are technically a Reservist in an Active status. This will probably have to go to USAREC. Are you close to HYT?
