Can a Sergeant (P) apply for Staff Sergeant and above housing?

I will be PCS’ing to Ft. Campbell in April and will be doing ALC enroute.

If there is no availability in your pay grad for the amount of dependents that you have they could bump you up to the next level if it has availability for your number of dependents.

No you can't. Your BAH is based off rank and dependent status is DEERS. You will receive E-5 BAH W/Dependents until you get promoted.

And what if I were to get promoted to Staff Sergeant as soon as I get there? Would I have to move?

There shouldn't be an issue. For on post housing at Campbell they never went by rank placement with the exception of higher ranking officers. But once you're in you're good to go no matter when you get promoted.
