An old friend of mine randomly posted a photo of himself in OCP’s with LTC rank. He told everyone that he just joined the Army Rerserves. I asked him what unit, and he told me it’s the 101st Airborne. He has a BS in nursing. He’s 45 years old. He’s not on ako or on enterprise. My question is, does this story smell fishy?

Without trying to speak beyond my place, first, do you know for a certainly he's a licensed RN? Of so, in which state or territory? If he's licensed, he'd be listed on a state license verification site, typically, all clinical licenses typically are, for which there are search engines one can check, that I know for a fact, I was clinically licensed, as well as for another firpeld, though due to my total perm disability, my wife and Ii had me shut my clinical license sevl urs ago, however, I did go through the whole thing, so I've got a pretty fair idea how the whole thing is generally done, all statesmamd territories also require periodic reregistration of a license, as well as a specific number and often a specific variety of continuing ed units (CEUs), which you might've heard of...now, if you're really eager to find out, looking at a license verification site is public info, at least as far search engines by name and profession go, at least from what I've seen. Regardless that he's claiming to he Reserve, if he's actually working as an RN, he'd have to be licensed and registered, definitely, that I know for sure...also, domyou know where exactly he got his BSN? Did he positively not go for an MSN or NP, maybe a PhD? Was he ever prior military before at all so far as you know? If not nursing, then in any other field, whether Army or another svc? I can fathom why you're seeking to look him up on such sites, I'm assuming, as you're describing...typically, I've found that the generally nest and most carefully handled such site for serious professions is LinledIn, that:s just my personal observation, of course, I'll send this now, this tablet conks out a lot....

So this guy used to work with me on labor and delivery as an RN. He was forced to resign for some questionable critical thinking skills or lack of... i don’t kno if he actually has a BSN because I just found out that the army does hire civilian ADNs. And they can be registered nurses too. I looked him up on Colorado’a licensure website, DORA, where he has his license and it says he is an RN in good standing. No advanced licensure anywhere on nursys which is the nationwide licensure website. Nadda And nothing. Also I had screenshotted his Facebook but when I went last night to work to look for it, I don’t remember where I saved it.... ugh. I feel like a noob. But everyone that was working with me knew him and saw what I saw.

I'm assuming by ADN, you must mean something akin to an LPN, they exist by us, I've seen the acronym, I just don't recall it, I'll look it up, certainly...I knew the svcs hire civil svc clinical staff, I'd been aware of that in the past...trust me and check LinkedIn as well, as I may have explained, frequently, I see serious professional stuff on there, I realize the other sites might perhaps be somewhat more ubiquitously referenced, however, indulge me, if you will, I'd be curious if he'd be listed at all...I'm not disputing the misgivings you're having, I assure you, you're not being at alp foolish as you'd described, certainly, please don't worry about that aspect, I assure you...I'd discreetly maybe try to chat with peers and see if they know anything, if you think yqu can do so in some acceptable fashion, however, only you can do that, and obviously that:s only a suggestion, of course...further, as I'd mentioned, if you have any idea where he trained at all, that might he another avenue...I don't know if RNs get NPIs from Medicare, I had to, hough, as I'd said, we'spd shut my stuff a longtime ago, however, I'm aware, as I'd been involved with clinical informatics before my disability, plus, having been clinically trained, that there are search engines for NPI, that frequently list clinical credentials, just another potential avenue you could try looking him up in, however, as I'd said, I didn't know if RNs or LPNs get them, whether 2- or 4-yr, I knew PAs get them, as well as NPs, however, RNs or LPNs I'm unsure about...I gather you'd seen something that made you wonder, I gather jes also possibly OB/GUN RN from your description, or higher credential, NP, nurse midwife even though he's male, whichever, as the case may he...I don't know which professionals do RN stuff, other than AAn or ANA or whatever that main RN association is called, I know there's a major one, perhaps he might he listed on such a professional nursing association site in a searchable or downloadable PDF directory, with further background and/or credentials, as the case my he, those are my thoughts for the moment, such as they are, I hope they were a help, if you learn more, or care to chat further, I'm Jere, certainly, by all means....
