An old friend of mine randomly posted a photo of himself in OCP’s with LTC rank. He told everyone that he just joined the Army Rerserves. I asked him what unit, and he told me it’s the 101st Airborne. He has a BS in nursing. He’s 45 years old. He’s not on ako or on enterprise. My question is, does this story smell fishy?

I’ll just echo Christopher Hayden. The guy’s claim is pure BS.

Sounds like his BS is in BS rather than than Nursing.

Well, nurses are in high demand and the Army sometimes lets medical professionals join at advanced ages and ranks based on their experience. The 101st Airborne sounds fishy to me - the 101st is an active duty unit and does not have reservists assigned to it.

101st is an Active Duty Unit. Although he could be "attached" to 101st. Most if not ALL the soldiers in the Army are on AKO. Sounds to me like he is FULL OF SHIT.

Sp4 Byron Skinner, Captain it smell of old dead fist. Oh wear to start. The Rank of Lt. Colonel is a very high in the Army Nurses Corp.It would be strange of not identifying the medical unit he served in first, not the Division. While there are medical units in reserve I again doubt if they would have a Lt. Colonel and I doubt if a Reserve Nurse would be assigned to a very deployable unit like the 101st. Air Assault Division. For the combat wound who net up at an eva hospital and you can over heard the Doctor yelling for blood, this guys almost out and you had an honest Surgeon a Major Moore in my cans when ask will i make it, I'll hones you have less the 50-50 but don't give up now count backwards start with 100, I got to 89 and the nest the I knew I woke up and starring in my face was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen an Army Nurse, for a moment I thought I was sent and went to heaven she said something,it destroyed the whole image, I was only in heaven for a few moments, I was back in the Army and I vomited. Until you have been there you don't know the feeling, it is far better the looking at a child for the first time.
