Can anyone explain to me how I can answer the "Current Unit" question when I am a Vet and no longer assigned to a unit?

PFC Jason Jackson ,
You can put your previous unit information up until the point of your ETS. As for your current unit, that can be replaced by your current line of work. Hope this helps.

Thanks, that does help. I saw the asterisk beside the "Unit" section and wondered how I could possibly answer the question.

PFC Jason Jackson - As a veteran, it should ask you for "Current company", which is referring to your current employer (if employed), not meant to be a line company. Are you sure it says "Current Unit" and not "Current Company"?

You know what, it does. I now feel like an idiot and will back into my corner of shame.

PFC Jason Jackson - No worries. Perhaps we should change it to "Current Employer" to be more clear. It's RallyPoint's job to make it as clear as possible, not the user's job to figure out similar languages.
Adding an employer is important because it helps other veterans connect with each other in the right industries, and can also set up veterans to more easily be mentors to service members with greater context. Thanks for being part of the community!

I think what would help is not to change that part. But change the drop down menu to include a "Present" option.
