Can anyone give me any sort of information about Al Udeid Air Base Qatar, or more specifically what a 3Pxxx can expect while there?

I wish I could, brother. I was there for a week just passing thru. It was hot as hell. That's all the info I can give you.

I was there in 08 and I've heard a lot of things changed. Mission is still Air base defense. They have flight line patrols, police patrols, outside the base patrols as well as well as search pit and gate duties. You can go off base and ride a camel or a sand duning adventure. It was a good TDY. Hot as ever in August.

Chief, I've read a lot with little to info about SF. I wasn't asking for violations, guess now that I look at it, it does seem a little like a trap for that!

I was there, but it was too long ago for me to be certain my answer would be accurate for you (2002). Back then, the duty was LE, towers, ISRT, ESRT, Externals and Convoys (externals were out to about 3 mile appointments, convoys were further - sometimes a LOT further). I would imagine it would be the same now. If you have a Raven tab you would definitely be doing FAST missions. If you have Pre-Raven, you MIGHT be doing FAST.
