Re Code, character of service, chapter used to separate. If AD isn't an option, but IRR is an option you may want to consider that. You can still get "good years," may lead to entry to Guard or Reserve if AD isn't an option.
You need to contact a recruiter.

It’s gonna take a waiver at the very least. RE3 is difficult (at best) to overcome. Also consider the renewed emphasis by the CSA and SMA on deployability. I’m not saying it’s impossible but it’s gonna take some work, patience and a recruiter that’s willing to put forth the effort. Good luck.

They say I can get back into the reserves no problem no waiver needed. That’s cool and all seeing as I make 80k a year but I don’t want part time. I want to be active duty again this sucks so bad

PFC Nick Vasquez Guard/Reserve these days, it’s far from ‘part-time.’ I’ve been Guard 15 years now: 4 tours Iraq/Afghanistan and 3 stateside disaster relief.

PFC Michael Tracy that route is almost as difficult. Each have manning requirements to keep. Neither like granting the TAG/CDR releases necessary to go Active.

PFC Michael Tracy be careful quoting what ‘you’ve heard.’ 18-series is no joke that takes anyone. And neither is Infantry.
Best option is to engage a recruiter and get it straight from him/her what needs to be done. The refs change to rapidly to keep track if that’s not your ‘lane.’
