1LT (Join to see) The MCP-OD is a reserve component organization that is stood up to round out the HHB of an active division command post. It increases the capability of the divisional command post to conduct simultaneous or extended missions. These organizations are at the forefront of the multi-component unit design and appear to be a valid lesson learned from the makeshift organizations that we have put together over the past decade or so. They are relatively new and have been standing up over the past year. The jury is still out on how successful they will be, but initial reports look good.

1LT (Join to see) - you are welcome, but your guess is as good as mine on the ARs. I only know what I have heard from a buddy that is tripping around the joint staff. I figured scuttle was what you were looking for. I would suggest writing the Division HQs to ask for lessons learned. 1st, 4th, and 82d are out front on this initiative.
