The short answer is YES. As universities continue to create and expand their entrepreneurship programs the big question that always comes up is, "Can Entrepreneurship be taught?" Some think it's a natural born talent. That is understandable since there are always some people that seem more inclined to do better at certain things. But this trend in entrepreneurship education is gaining in popularity and proving to be successful. The reason that entrepreneurship can be taught is because entrepreneurship is a process much like the military planning process. Any process can be taught. The more education and skills one has associated with the subject at hand can certainly make learning a process easier but in the end it is a process and anyone can learn a process.

I think entrepreneurial skills can be taught. But the character traits that are needed are a little harder to learn if you don't already have them.

morality
persistence
dedication
passion
empathy
etc etc

I do believe it can be taught, but also know it can be groomed and nutured without college. My mother built two childcare businesses from the ground up and a law firm by the time she passed. She had no college and only secretary like work experience before her endevors.

Agreed Nia, some have the good fortune to be raised with it and others get it later in life. You can't teach passion and dedication but the academics like finance, accounting and marketing can be taught. Many schools now a days teach those things with an entrepreneurial focus vice a corporate focus.
