If you have your ARRT. But you still have to do like a week or two of clinicals.

If you have any questions about the company you'd be assigned to pop me a a message. I just reclassed myself and I was in the same company as the 68P's.

You might have a difficult time trying to reclass from a 68w because we are undermanned as of right now. But I guess the best way to answer your question is by saying hound whoever you need to. When you turn in your 4187 keep bugging whoever until it is signed. Call the school house see when their classes start and get all the information you can from them. Lastly call or email the branch manager of that mos and get as much information as you can from them

I believe there is a way for your to skip the AIT if you carry a national certification/registration. The reason is the AMEDD C&S wants to transition to all CMF 68 holding national certifications like the 68W does. I was reading these regs the other week for work, but I read an AMEDD C&S internal publication that described either attending the AIT or providing your certification for several CMF 68 MOS.
If you can't contact the 68-P schoolhouse, then make contact with the radiology dept at BACH. If all else fails, contact the AMEDD C&S Inspector General (IG). They will be able to assist you to find the correct answer.

In the early 1990's at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center I worked with a young girl who was an LPN employed by the Quincy Company that provided LPN's to the Hospital. About two years later I ran into her at Fort Gordon GA. She had Joined the Army. She told me that she had to attend Basic Training but by passed AIT because of her Certifications/ License. Today I have heard mixed reports from buddies that have told me that even with a LPN License they are required to attend the 68W course but given the MOS of 68C. I guess it all boils down to supply and demand and the Powers that be at AMEDD.

Can I accelerate reclassifying from 68W to 68P if I have civilian certifications in radiology?

It all boils down to supply and demand. If you have the civilian credential's then yes you can submit the necessary paper work to reclass. However, are you in an a command that needs radiology? Is it an over strength MOS? Do your credentials include doing CAT scans and MRI? You have a better chance at reclass if they do.
I had a friend that graduated as a Civilian PA. the army at that time didn't need any PA's she was a 68W E-6. She joined the army young 18 she got her 20 year letter at 38. shortly after she got her PA degree. Since the Army would not let her go on to become a PA she retired and worked as a PA in the Civilian sector.

Coming from the schoolhouse, and speaking first hand about this, you have to re-enlist just like everyone else. Once accepted you will report to FT Sam Houston for a few weeks and then get your permanent assignment from their. The schoolhouse is the only place that they will award you your MOS certificate

If you already have your ARRT R.T. (R) certification, then yes, when you reclass you will present that to them and they will bump you straight into graduation phase most likely. Other then that, without the ARRT certification you will have to go through the program just like everyone else.

Why are you leaving us!!!!! WHY!!!!! You could become a Nurse, Doctor, Surgeon, Flight Medic......Why do you want to get poisoned by radiation!!!
Just messing......Depending on how old your certs are they could play a part. I think you still have to attend the AIT for it though. The military tends to speed up training on all MOS's; minus the ones that require longer times. I'm not sure who you ask; maybe a recruiter or start through your CoC. It can't hurt, if they don't know they should find out who does. I know it takes time to get things done, so start asap.
