We went to NTC at Irwin(still here) and we are hearing a lot of not so good news. With the 28th ID National Guard. Somewhere in the rotation the word was spready that that they messed up our flights home. The official word was posted on our brigade’s facebook before we got it. We were supposed to fly back the 23rd and end of orders is the 24th (28 days of orders.) Now our flight is the 27th and the end of the extended orders is the 28th(32 days of orders) We got our extended orders through email not paper. Now they are saying we will not be getting BAH type I. The original orders were two seperate orders and the exteded orders were “emergency” orders, but it still is 32 days straight of orders. Can they do that? I just wanted to ask because a lot of us are pretty upset to say the least.

Since you are still there, I would say yes they can. I would also say your chain of command is in the best position to work this issue. It may take them a minute as you are counting individual days. Not uncommon for AD rotations to be 45-60 days to get everybody and everything in and out and turned in to the draw grid.
