Can I decline being promoted to Corporal?

It may be thatI’ve been out too long, but since when does a CPL (E4) make more than a SPC (E4). Am I missing something?

Is just that if you did, common sense is telling me that you had an emergency talk with your Squad Leader or Platoon Sergeant about your participation on that Board. How is it that a Soldier is sent to the Promotion Board and recommended for promotion without the minimum basic knowledge of being a Leader? Kind of scary….

You signed up for promotions and if you cannot be a leader without being paid then you should not have joined. My Dad got a "field promotion", did not like it but took on the challenge and did so very well with it and got paid once he returned stateside.

Dont do it battle take that e4p there gonna be alot of different reason why you have to take charge . Do it on your own terms not in a oh fuck im here what do i do.. lead to panic an complacency.
