I read on one website that the Army Correspondence Course Program was discontinued. If that is true then maybe this is irrelevant? Thanks for the help.

As an infantryman your points will almost never be high enough to need correspondence courses. If you start taking college courses as soon as you get to your new unit, by the time you're eligible for promotion you will have far more points than your peers

Yes correspondence courses are still worth points (80 points at 400 hours) you can access these on either ALMS or JKO, But as SFC Boyd stated you may never need the points as an 11B.
