Can I get an option 40 contract being prior service?

I spent 6 years in the ARNG, fulfilled my contract, and got out with an honorable discharge without any issues. I havent talked to a recruiter yet, but am curious to find out if i am able to get an option 40 contract with a different mos? I will be talking to a recruiter very soon, but i am trying to get 2nd opinions prior to the first. I assume its going to be hard to get the slots and i want to know if its possible or if I have a lazy recruiter who doesnt want to put in the work. Im not trying to disrespect anyone by saying that, just trying to get ahead of this. Thanks for your time

How can I get option 40 in my contract being prior service?

I'm currently planning on switching active after this contract ends in 2 months. The recruiter I've been talking to says he hasn't really had many prior service wanting to go active on account of him being new to recruiting. He said as far as he knew thatd be something decidedat MEPS. While going to MEPS is it possible for me to get ranger in my contract/how would i go about getting in my contract?
