I have promoted to E-5 back in July and I'm interested into going drill. I meet the requirements besides the TIG and TIS left on this enlistment. I do plan on reupping in January to meet the requirement for the TIS left. My concern is really the TIG.

So, my two years team leader time, which is on my ERB, and my age wouldn't matter. It's just what they'd see of when I got promoted. I have dealt with all sorts of soldiers, but I can see why my DOR is what matters.

Not really. The fact is you're three months away from being an E4. Those restrictions are in place for a reason. Drill and recruiting are willing to waive a lot of requirements when they are in need of people, but accepting brand new SGTs is way toward the bottom of the OML for waivers. You need leadership challenges before you take on a bunch of spoiled kids who all want to quit by Day 2

I went Drill after I had three years of Squad leader time. Easier to do in an Airborne assignment. I would suggest you wait for that.
