If you're actually a SSG and you don't know that you don't get promotion points then you have a bigger problem than Master Driver. You need to go to the HRC Enlisted Promotion Page and read every single article about senior enlisted promotions they have posted there

Unless you are planning on being reduced in rank and therefor needing promotion points down the road or asking for one of your Soldiers what is the point of it? You may be able to get a couple credit hours for college when they evaluate your military training. But just like your other post about having UPL on your ERB, as an E-6 there is no real reason/advantage to doing so.

I know you can put it on the ERB cause I had it on mine when I was enlisted. As for promotion points I’m not quite sure about that (was an E-6 then and didn’t need points no more) but I assume it should be seeing as how it’s a 40 hr course. If not maybe you can get some credits for college in the future if needed by being in your JST’s so I’d add it either way points or not.

Yeah I saw that so I assumed he was asking about the points for one of his soldiers, or an E-5 that took the course with him.SFC Kelly Fuerhoff
