I am an NREMT-P as well as a North Carolina certified paramedic. I completed an army course through WAMC at Ft Bragg in order to get the certification, and from what I can tell, the course should be considered a "Home Station Equivalent" of 300-F1 in the flight medic pipeline. I can see on my SRB that 300-F1 is not on my list of military education. Is there any way to apply straight to 300-F2?

In my Day 300 F1 was Special Forces Medic. Then the Army Liked to play with Numbers and it became 18D. In Regard to Flight Medic. Your question should be addressed to either the Academy of Health Science Fort Sam Houston Texas or the Aviation School of Medicine at Fort Rucker AL. [login to see] /7445. I would suggest calling the Army Aviation School of Medicine at Fort Rucker AL first. I found their number on their web page. Here is the thing about Medicine and Army Medicine. I have a friend who is an RN and a Flight Nurse in Civilian life. To be an Army Flight Nurse their was a bunch of paperwork involved to show the proper education was met. Still, the Army being the Army he had to accomplish all the requirements established by the Army Aviation School of Medicine. Do not take what people tell you as gospel. It is what is in writing that matters. The Army School of Aviation Medicine should have every thing in writing you need to know.

Of course, Sir. I understand. The reason I asked about the "Home Station Equivalent" is because that is the exact verbage used for what qualifies a soldier to skip 300-F1. My question was mainly about how I can ensure that when I drop my packet, it won't waste the army's money putting me through the exact same training that they already paid for. I graduated top of my class, ahead of several sergeants first class, and staff sergeants, and they all are pushing me to drop a packet and finish the training. My interest is in serving my country in the best way I can. I am not saying I don't want to waste my time getting the training again. That would be very easy. I would rather spend the time with my unit on the other side, in a deployable status. I understand that there are many my age that are looking to find their own way to benefit from service, that don't want to put in the work, but I assure you, sir- that isn't all of us.

I understand what the PFC is talking about. The Academy of Health Science has Mobil training teams that do Home Station Equivalent Training. It is the same training you would have received at Fort Sam. I did one myself many years ago. The problem is making sure the paper work is completed before the training team leaves. To insure all Class Evaluations and Certificates are posted
