Can I use TA for a 2 years graduate program even though I ETS in 1 year ? Will I be asked to payback any money when I ets?

I believe as soon as you use Federal Tuition Assistance you are obligated to four more years of service. If you don’t complete the service requirements then you are to pay back the assistance prorated...

SPC (Join to see) you are only authorized to use TA while you're on active duty. The Army won't pay for any course after your ETS. There's nothing to pay back because the Army won't fund it in the first place

SFC (Join to see) - is there an ADSO I think is the question. I seem to remember an ADSO for using TA. Ed Center should be able to answer quickly.

LTC Jason Mackay there is, but that's only for officers. Enlisted can use it right up to the last day their on active duty, the officers definitely get hosed on the TA

SFC (Join to see) - TA was never really intended for officers, but meh, what are you going to do. A year out from ETS, would be thinking ADSO.
