I’m wanting to PCs to Korea with my family, but I was told there is a risk of me not being able to take my family depending on EFMP. I have two kids and my wife and have no underlined condition. I just want to be 100% sure I can take them before I sign to Korea can they be screened for EFMP before I sign?

You won't get command sponsorship until you're on assignment to Korea. You already know they don't have any EFMP issues since they're not enrolled in EFMP. EFMP isn't what stops command sponsorship, it's just one small piece of it

Negative, you have to take that chance. EFMP won't see you prior to being on orders because once they screen your family, that packets goes straight to your gaining unit to be approved or disapproved. It's a risk but its rare to be denied Command Sponsored when you volunteer for South Korea.

If you have no dependents enrolled in EFMP now, then EFMP has nothing to do with them. EFMP doesn't just screen people for the hell of it. You have to go see them because you have a dependent that qualifies for EFMP.
