I recently joined the reserves from the IRR with no flags. On DTMS my last record APFT is Green and passed with a date from 2016. My current unit had previously mentioned administering an APFT for those that need it. From my understanding those with a failing record APFT are the only eligible to take the APFT. I can’t find info on those with an expired APFT. I have been training for the ACFT and left the APFT in the past. Though I don’t mind taking the APFT again I really don’t want to. Does my unit have the right to make me take a record APFT or is the new ACFT my new PT Test? Thanks

Generally it's better to suck it up and drive on than complain. You will earn more respect if you follow directions expeditiously.

Testing frequency was suspended in FRAGO 1 and 2 to HQDA EXORD 164-20, and the CURRENT FM7-22 and associated ATP have NO testing standards for the APFT. Your apft could be from 1985 and its still "good".
Current army guidance is 2 ACFT's this year, though that might be one for the reserves.

only one PT test a year for Reserves/Guard. My last one was OCT of 2019. next one is March 2022.... Army Strong..... And, if it is the AcFT- no idea what it will consist of after NDAA 2022 rips it apart.
