Can retention put specialty schools in your re-enlistment contract?

This will be my third re-enlistment (on top of two exensions) and every time I ask retention about it, they tell me that it’s impossible. And yet, every once in a while (particularly on the AD side) I run into soldiers who swear they have had the school written into their contracts. So I’m hoping someone can point to a rule or regulation that I can reference to sort it out.

If it’s not working with battalion retention go to brigade. If still nothing take it higher, there’s still another person who can and will help you. Same thing happened to another nco that I know and they just kept going to the next higher. They finally got it fixed after they had to jump through some hoops. Hope this long response helps you.
