A fer instance would be Dominican Republic, then a tour in Vietnam, off to the Sandbox Part One, Afghanistan...a career could cover this and the CIB is not awarded for separate tours in the same theater correct?

My late Father in Law had two stars- WW II & Korea. Served in Vietnam, too. My late Dad was also a WW II, Korea & Vietnam vet. Very proud of both of them.

A Marine friend was awarded a CIB for 82nd service at the Battle of the Bulge. He then went to the dark side - and visited the Chosen Reservoir and Vietnam. Upon his retirement at MCRDSD, he was gratified to enjoy a 'depot' parade! Semper Fi! I have know a few Chosen Marines during my life! A few of the names still surface when I dwell on the past!
