Can someone be a "twice awarded Combat Infantry Badge recipient" from different wars (Korea & VN)?

They used to have a CIB with a diamond star in the middle, for two campaigns. Don't know if they still award those.

We had a number of 3 times in the 173d in VN. For a short while, before it was corrected, men were authorized a CIB for Op Power Pack in 64 and then a second for VN. The revision used the WW II equation of one CIB for Europe no second for Pacific. There is a plaque, or was, at the InfantryMuseum that listed all recipients of triple CIBs.

I worked with a civilian in Macon, Ga reserve center who had 3rd CIB award. He passed away several years ago but was one of those who did have it. Mr. Harry Majors.

Yes my former PSG had a CIB with a star , he was in desert storm and then Afghanistan and that's where he earned his star.

If it's for different wars in different theater then yes but the chances of you have a good chain of command and no blue falcons

I was always more fond of my EIB instead of my CIB. That one was much harder to get than just being shot at :)

What about desert storm and serving in Afghanistan. Earned mine in desert storm but didn’t serve in an infantry position in Afghanistan
