Did the SM fail the APFT multiple times? If the answer is yes they can be chaptered. What exactly makes you think that the leadership should be the ones putting in all of the work to keep you kids in shape. If an SM fails to keep themselves up to the standard they get the boot.

You will be chaptered for failure to maintain the standard, they do it all the time. If they ordered remedial PT, and they didn't comply, then it's UCMJ time, then they will bar you and force you out later.

Remedial PT is a commanders program, but not a requirement. Just like a Soldier can be chaptered for misconduct without being given a rehabilitative move, they can be separated for APFT without being placed in a remedial PT program.

PFC Nicholas Groom you have a tough MOS in the sense that you probably work weird hours and don't do organized PT with you're unit as a 92G. These are assumptions of course, but what I'll tell you is this, you can overcome this. Work your tail off and get in the shape you need to in order to pass and then go from there. I promise you can do it if you try. I've had several Soldiers get past things like this and become stellar careerists.
Keep your head up!

Please note, the Commander has a bit of discretion, and remedial PT is not mandatory.
