It says on 75th Ranger Regiment facebook you need to be active duty with no requirement for moral waiver. I do not have option 40, was still going to try to get in. At 18 I was arrested with minor possession marijuana charges dismissed, I'm 28 now with a clean slate ever since. The army still gave me moral waiver for that incident, does this mean I shouldn't bother to apply?

Don't waste your time holding out for an option 40, you can volunteer for the selection any time

SFC Jason Boyd I already signed contract for 11X, option 40 or airborne were not available. I was wondering if the moral waiver was just a restriction for option 40 or is it a restriction to volunteer for the Regiment itself once I get through basic
