Strange to read this question. But I don't think they will allow me to enter the school with this profile. Since successful completion of the 12 mile foot march and obstacle course are required for graduation you would not be able to attend. AR 350-1 states that you're able to attend schools while on both types of profiles, as long as the limitations imposed do not prevent you from completing the course graduation requirements. Your schools NCO needs retraining.

From their website:
"Must have a physical on file (dated within five years), have a minimum profile serial of 111121
(PULHES), have passed the APFT within 30 days from the class start date and meet the Army
height and weight standards IAW AR 600-9."

They do have a waiver process, but there's no guarantee.

SPC Zirkle, I was stationed at Ft. Campbell for over 2 years, and entered that assignment with a P2 run at OPD profile that only allowed me to perform the 2.5 mile walk on the APFT. At the TSAASLT school, they do not check for profiles upon entry of the school however, they will ask the class during an "amnesty" period if anyone has a profile that limits them from performing the tasks required to graduate. Also, your Company and BN level organizations should be screening who has a profile. I will tell you this, I attended and graduated with a P2 profile, only because it was something I really wanted to accomplish, and show my Soldiers that you can bounce back from adversity. If you can attend without injuring yourself and hindering your career, I encourage you to attempt to go.

Airborne school will not even allow you to enter the grounds on a P2 profile if it limits your ability to perform any of the tasks required to graduate, which is the standard for any school. Unlike Air Assault School, you have to go through an Airborne physical to even make it into the course, which will identify if you have a limiting condition.

I have a similar P2 for my right knee, run at own pace and distance. I can ruck without any problem. Does this mean when they are doing the runs the first few days of Air Assault you had to maintain the same pace as the rest of the joes, or were you lagging behind? The only thing I can't do is run hard anymore, I can maintain a 10 min jogging pace but anything faster and my knee swells up and the pain is pretty intense. I've always wanted to go to Air Assault and thought that I would never be able to when I received my P2.
