I have been slotted for phase 2 and 3 and 1 but 2 and 3 are before phase 1. Does this affect me at all?

Oh yea phase 1 then you have to do online then your 2&3 will be residential at Bliss but you have to show that you completed your phase 1 and take the certificate with you and pass your PT test as well.

So what should I do about the slot? HRC sent me an email saying that I will attend phase 2 Aug 14 Thru 2 Sept then phase 3 5 Sept thru 19 Sept and phase 1 24 Oct thru Dec 18... phase 2 and 3 are at Fort Sam

I take it you are active. Just email HRC and then go through your COC to let them know about the email and they can provide further guidance.

I'm currently attending Phase 3 of 68W ALC and there are several NCO's here who still need to complete Phase 1.
We were told that they are doing it out of order to help reduce the backlog for Phase 2/3. Since Phase 1 is DL and can be done at home station it can help speed up the process of NCO's completing the residential portion.
However, you still won't be eligible for promotion until ALL 3 phases are completed.

When I attended ALC, you could do the phase one (not SSD2) after you did phase 2&3. The commandant at the NCOA on Fort Sam is changing that. Your GPA from phase one distance learning will soon count towards your overall GPA.

I did. We had a special arrangement with the NCO academy in Missouri. They came to JBLM for our battalion and everyone who had already completed pldc got to do phase 2 ALC for 12B. They didn't care if you had done phase 1. Additionally phase 1 is basic leadership training, phase 2 is job specific.

I attended phase 2 and started phase 1 while I was currently in phase 2. Basically I was doing both at the same time. Phase 2 during the day in class and phase 1 in the evenings in my hotel room.

How'd that work out for you? was it thought to balance both at the same time? I know that phase 1 has a few essays that need to be written

Just like anything else we do it took discipline. When my classmates would go out after class I'd be in my room doing modules. The workload was pretty easy the biggest issue I had was modules freezing or not opening and I would have to contact the help desk. Outside of that it was a breeze.

The Phase I Common Core (aka SSD 2) must be completed prior to your arrival for Phases II & III. If it is not complete, it is at the discretion of the cadre at the NCO Academy whether or not you are allowed an extension to complete it. They might or they might send you back.

The phase 1 has been changed to an actual DL course that is factored into your overall GPA and is reflected on your 1059 now. What I'm trying to figure out is if I will still be able to get CL or compete for DLA

CMF 68 ALC does have three phases, in addition to SSD. Phase 1 is a CMF-specific DL, phase 2 was a general CMF-68 resident phase, and phase 3 was an MOS-specific phase.
For AMEDD, phase 1 was supposed to be a prerequisite for phase 2 and 3. You are still able to attend phase 2 and 3, but if you do not have phase 1 DL completed by graduation, "failure to meet course standards" will be annotated on your 1059.
You really do not want to be in a position where you are having to complete the DL portion while you are at the resident phase, or risk getting a "failure to meet course standards" 1059.
I would recommend that you contact the NCOA and try to get into phase 1. The contact number for AMEDD NCOA DL Ops is [login to see] .

There are no more phases for ALC...you need SSD 2 which replaced Common Core to attend ALC..
