I am promotable due to MLI. My unit is doing a ht/wt screening next week. I know I’m going to fail because I am 6% over on my body fat. Will I get my promotable status back after I’m out of the ABCP since I am MLI or no?

This damn ap won't let me answer, but there's no such thing as MLI anymore. You have to go back to the board and read regs

You will be reintegrated into the MLI the month following your flag lift, assuming no other issues.
6% is a lot, about 4in on the waist.
Eat smart, run, lift.

I can hopefully get about halfway there by the end of November because I am heading down to JRTC to play OPFOR. I usually lose a good bit of weight while I’m in the field and I am gonna be a lot more on my game about keeping my calories down and my exercise up while I’m gone.

If you are not within standards, then they can bar you. Once you reach and show maintaining standards, the bar goes away- you will have to ask your Command if they will give P back

Most of the bars that are in our way for promotion are self inflicted. Best of luck losing the weight and then being an example to others you eventually lead (to the original question).

Thank you sir. My platoon has been very supportive about me getting my
Weight down and getting of the ABCP. They want the same thing I want. Which is to be able to control my own destiny in the army. LTC (Join to see)
