This is a followup from a previous question. So, I got accepted into the Accelerated OCS program that begins Phase 0 in February. I relocated to another state and am eight hours away from the RTI. I recently found out that the RTI of my new state is fifteen minutes away. I'm wondering if I can IST to the new ARNG state as I've been accepted, or is it likely that this is an impossibility? Life happened pretty quick for us.

I would speak with the Interstate Transfer Coordinator at your state headquarters. If it's possible, they would know how to do it. In a 30 day time frame until you are supposed to report, my best guess is that it will be next to impossible. In reality, you will probably be better off attending OCS in your former state and then starting the IST process after you commission.

SPC (Join to see) - Since it was my experience that no one tells you anything about the process before you are actually trying to transfer, here is a link to the procedures. https://www.nationalguard.com/how-to-transfer-to-another-state

CPT Lawrence Cable - Thank you again, Sir. I was able to get a hold of my new state's OSM, and he said that if I transfer, we'd have to wait a year and start the process all over again. Thank you for the link, and Happy New Year.
