Occasionally I will post pictures and ask what's wrong with them. Here is another I recently found online. Can you see what's wrong with this pictures?

And go....

Orientation of the star. Ribbons out of order. Ribbons stacked 4 deep when not necessary. Realistically, they should be stacked one more row high, and then canted off to the (my) right, (their left).

He did get the precedence with the Iraq and Afghanistan Campaign ribbons right....

Much of the remaining issues have already been discussed. Makes you wonder if the guy went to a surplus store and bought everything they had.

I'll be honesty with you, a lot of that shit I had to look up. What really caught my eye was the China Service Medal above the Silver Star.

You never see these nuts-impersonating Submariners. Not enough bling on the uniform.

Actually one time I saw a BM1 with a pocket rocket and two carp eating a shitcan. When asked, he was a MT who had gotten out and went into the reserve and was forced to convert to a BM. He was and is legit though.

The 4x4 of ribbons look out of whack. Never seen anyone where 4 on a row on the shirt. They are out of order. The ribbons are little high I think the rule of thumb is that they are a pencils width above the pocket or 1/4 of an inch. The trident he's wearing is the miniature trident which is only worn on the dinner dress or formal dress. Only Large insignia is worn on all other Navy combinations like the khakis.

I've seen Senior AF officers and NCO's wear it on the service coat. Typically only on the first few rows then they have three for the rest aligned to wearers left. Typically it is done when someone more than 21 ribbons. To prevent he lapel from masking the top ribbons. Generally in the AF officers do not wear ribbons on the B's. This dude is wearing 16 which would mean on a B uniform 5 rows and a center singleton would be more appropriate.

The Navy does not authorize the 4 row

You are absolutely correct. When you say B's, are you saying dress blues? In the Air Force, you are required to wear your ribbons on your service coat, but, it's optional on your blues shirt. I never wore mine on my shirt, but, I made sure all my ribbons were in tip-top shape (not dirty, no strings, etc.). It really scares me that people can steal valor and I can't even sit with my back to the door, or go to a fireworks show because of the explosions. Fuckin' assholes, these guys and gals.

I am referring to the light blue blue combination. Combing from the 90's we used to refer the light blue shirt as the B uniform and the service jacket the A' s

I agree it drives me nuts now anytime I see someone wearing a medal I get suspicious if they earned it or not.

In today's Air Force I have not worn a service dress jacket since 2004. I never bothered putting my awards on it until I got tapped to potentially do court martial duty in 07. My service dress is lacking medals either clusters and a few extra random things I picked up over the years,

Navy trident is too small, Two national defense ribbons. I can't even begin to start with correct order and I could be wrong but is that the Vietnam service ribbon? I know it's not a navy achievement medal those are green and orange. If that's a Marine, which I sort of doubt, they are missing their marksmanship badge(s) and the alignment is pretty ratchet.

Nevermind, it's a Meritorious unit commendation ribbon. They also received a silver star, are a Navy Pistol expert, rifle expert (don't need badges then, my mistake.) Two global war on terror, served in afghanistan and for the life of me I can't find that yellow one at the very top left. Anyone know what that one is it's kind of irritating me now...

That's no longer the Marine Corps Reserve Ribbon. Haven't used that ribbon in my 32 years. That ribbon (above) dates from 1945-1965! Closest current ribbon I could find is the Michigan Recruiter Ribbon!

You all are correct, I thought this was a Gold Lifesaving ribbon, but it doesn't have the thin white lines next to the red.

I like the two NDSMs and the itty-bitty trident. Wouldn't want to be too austentatious with being a SEAL and all.
I haven't seen too many individuals with nothing between the Silver Star and the JSAM. No Commendation, No MSM, no BSM, no Air Medal. Just a NMUC.
Then there is the Marine Corps Reserve Service Medal on top. Dude must have been in the Corps back in the day, and decided that the time in the USMCR was worth way more than that Silver Star.
That Toys for Tots drive must have some story...

(Not insulting my USMC brethren, nor the great work the USMC Reserve does with Toys for Tots - I'm just sayin')

God everything is wrong with this. Two National Defense ribbons, mixture of different service ribbons, order of precedence is out of order, 4 ribbons in a row, seal trident on a marine and it’s miniature one. Pants, shirt, cover and I am sure I am missing more things. He doesn’t really look like a seal. Probably just some kid playing too many video games. It’s strange most of the impersonations I have seen (at least on here) are of high Senior NCOs. This is a first with a butter bar with 16 ribbons...
