Can you take transitional leave, say 60 days, in addition to requesting Early Separation for Employment?

Yes..."ACCRUED LEAVE WILL BE USED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT POSSIBLE AS TRANSITION LEAVE IN CONJUNCTION WITH EARLY SEPARATION."
Ensure you're reading the MILPER/ALARACT messages that pertain...your ETS will be adjusted and THEN you'll submit your transition leave. No one should be forced to sell accrued leave.

Tracking. G1 tried to tell me that meant that terminal leave was part of the 180 days which made no sense to me.

Understand your frustration, but this will be a commander's call...can be released UP TO 180-days early.
Commanders have to make calls based on many factors, i.e., will your replacement be ready prior to your departure?

Do you subtract 15 days from ETS Balance to determine the exact days to be used for transition leave? I was told from S1 since I was requesting 6-months out for employment. Is this right or I can use my total ETS balance?

I am doing the early sep and currently waiting for my packet to come back from brigade. I submitted the leave form with the packet, originally requesting 60 days. It has been approved by the LTC and Commander. When I submitted it, throughout the time my ETS balance was 45 days. Currently, I have 38.5 but of course, these days reflect until my original ETS date, which in February. My new ETS is in September. Why did they approve my leave? Since I have 38.5 that amount is considered until febuary. So wouldn't I have 22 days technically if my balance is 38.5 currently with a current acural of 17? My orderly room told me I had to redue this but I'm still confused as to why it got approved with the control number in the first place.

Leave is leave, if the transition leave is approved it will usually be included in the separation date determination. This is something that has to be worked in advance.
