I have always wondered if anyone makes that change or if it is even possible. I have met several people that transferred from the Air Force to the Army but never the other way around.

It is completely possible! It is FAR easier to do it on the reserve/air guard side then it is AD but it can be done.

For the Guard or Reserve try getting a hold of what is called a "in service recruiter" every AD AF base has one assigned. For going AD you will want to find a prior service recruiter or a non-prior service recruiter that is willing to do the extra work required for PS enlistees. Right or wrong, there are plenty of NPS recruiters that wont touch a PS applicant if they are already meeting their goal.

I have heard of people doing it as well. I am in the process to find out how, but AF recruiters keep giving me the run around.

You can, but it's not easy and there are a lot of clauses and asterisks involved. And they typically only take Soldiers who have only 1 enlistment in.
