Can you wear a state award after you IST to another state? If you can, is the wear of multiple state awards authorized on the ASU?

According to CAARNG Regulation 600-8-22 CAANGI 36-2803 • 1 December 2008 1-19. WEARING OF STATE AWARDS, ORDER OF PRECEDENCE
a. California State awards and decorations will be worn below Department of the Army, Air Force, Department
of Defense, and Department of Defense approved foreign decorations.
b. Awards and decorations from other States are authorized for wear while serving in the California National
Guard and will be worn below California National Guard awards and decorations.
c. Appendix H shows a color chart of all State awards, presented in order of precedence, with appropriate
devices.
So, based on this, I would say that the answer is yes. But, I would recommend that you check with the state you are in AND the state you are ISTing to, as each state will have their own specific regs on this matter.

I've checked federal regulations but they don't specify very much about NG. It makes sense that states would have specific regulations. Thanks for the information.

Each state is depending. Most will. I can wear my Ky, and AR ribbons. Usually what ever state that you are in are over the state that you where with previously. That is showing that you are in that state currently and the others are from previous state. I wear mine as i was awarded. Ky, then AR. I haven't been awarded a TX state award as of yet. but those would be on top of the other states.

Generally speaking: Each state has its own version of awards policy, so there are 50+ versions out there. That said I would say no. Keep in mind anything dealing with club Fed (promotions, title 10 active duty, ditch the state awards).
