I have had some buddies in the same platoon as me get In trouble because they wear their gloves on their belt loops. But i have yet been talked to about it yet. I can find anything that supports either side. What have yall experienced or if you know where it is that's greatly appreciated.

Short answer-No.
Look at the AR 670-1 under Para 3-6a. You're only authorized to wear Keys used in the performance of CQ, Armorer or duty NCO/ Officer. Or 3-6b Discusses authorized electronic devices and finally 3-6c gives the commander the authority to determine that wear is not appropriate and negate para a and b.

Stow them in your cargo pockets like we've done since time immemorial as this paragraph has changed little at least since the 80's with exception of allowing an electronic device.

According to AR 600-CommonSense, putting something on your uniform that makes it no longer uniform is a bad idea. Belt loops are for holding belts, not for hanging things off of. Would you feel the same about someone who hung a 'biner on their belt loop, and then suspended keys, a lucky rabbit's foot, and some fuzzy dice?

You have pockets. Use them. Or... just keep your gloves on your hands, where they belong!

I beg to disagree, cargo pocket, jacket pocket etc. the rule of thumb is that is the item is not covered it is not authorized. He uniform has ample pockets so that’s Soldiers can carry what they require for duty. Your unit should have guidelines and policies. Your belt loops, are just that to support a belt. Let your conscience be your guide. Thank you for your service.

Ok so AR 670-1 doesn't go into gloves on belt loop lol. But it would depend, obstacle course, rappel tower ect stuff like that of course gloves on belt loop while waiting ect. But in a formation or just doing nothing it if the gloves are hanging out or bulging out then it wouldn't keep a neat military appearance just like a bulky phone or keys ect. If commander says no then its as simple as that.

That's all I could find too. I am currently deployed and i need my gloves for various purposes. The only person that says anything is an E-5. His words were "I believe only fueler (92F) and artillery (13 series) are allowed to wear them like that."

SPC Christopher Buttemeier - If you use them regularly for work I wouldn't harass soldiers when they are performing duties, it easier to just snatch them off belt loop then dig through pockets or have them laying somewhere and get lost. But there is no such regulation saying a certain mos is only allowed to wear gloves while attached to belt loop while performing duties, now a commander can make a policy ect on it. This is one of the great will I battle this NCO on this or not type of things. Unless you have another NCO around and can actually give him/her a good reason why I wouldn't fight this battle. Sometimes common sense isn't common anymore.

One thing if soldiers are in formation or walking around post ect another thing while out in the field or performing duties ect. But maybe someone else can find a different regulation because off the top of my head there isn't one I know.

I totally get your concern. It's always tough when you're not sure if something is allowed or not. As for wearing gloves on your belt loops, I'm not sure if there's a specific rule for it. But if it's causing trouble for some of your buddies, it's probably best to err on the side of caution. In terms of finding more information, have you tried checking with your superiors or even HR? They might have a clearer idea of what's allowed and what's not. And as for finding gloves for work, have you checked out https://harmonycr.com/nitrile-gloves/ ? They've got a great selection of nitrile gloves that might work well for you.

Anything you clip on your belt loop can’t hang past the bottom of your jacket

This question looks like it needs more context. We all know AR 670-DUH, and it's pretty clear cut, but are we talking field? Garrison? Motor Pool?
