Chances for Prior Service in FY19 coming back AD?

How many total years do have Active? If you have close to 8 you would need a waiver for Retention Control Point.

I would check with your local Army recruiting office. I was a career recruiter for 10 years and policies change every month. They will have the latest policy regarding Prior Service personnel such as yourself. There may or may not be a waiting period after your ETS from the Reserves. If there is a waiting period, it could be anywhere from 3 months, to 6 months. even up to a year from your ETS date. Also, depending on the current policy, you might be able to keep your current MOS. Worse case scenario is you'll go back to AIT for a different MOS but not Basic again. And then there's the matter of your rank. Usually you'd lose a rank when you transition from the Reserves to Active Duty. Again, it all depends on the current policies. Ideally it would be easier and better to get a DA Form 368 (Condition Release) from your Unit but you stated that they are not signing any at all. ETS or conditional release are the only two options. If the general is not signing 368’s then ETS. You can come back active duty. You might even get a bonus.
