I was chaptered out of the Army in 1989 for basically having a bounced check, which once I found out about it I took care of it. That was not good enough for my 1st Sgt he wanted me gone. I had never been in trouble or had a write up. Now I find out I can't get anything from the VA including burial because I did 18 months instead of 24. My discharge was a General under Honorable are they anything I can do to atleast get the burial. Thanks

MSG Livingston is, as normal, correct. Contact the Veterans Service Officer in your county of residence for the best assistance out there is you are still confused.
General Under Honorable are still alloted some VA benefits. Of course, the VA would make that determination.
