Just a random thought. I don't think there is anything preventing someone from taking discontinued uniforms and wearing them however they want to. Would look weird though.

My First Question Is Why ?
The Green Is Not A Very Good Choice Of Color .
I Think It Would Be Okay If You Don’t Have Any Military Badges Or Patches On It.
But You Can Buy A Suit With Shirt And Tie,
From The Goodwill Or Other Thrift Stores For Less Than $25.00 , I Have A Few I Bought From Thrift Stores , One I Only Paid $15.00 For .

Veterans wear old uniforms all the time, no matter how awkward it looks. I don't why they do it, but as far I am aware there is nothing stopping them other than a commonly held respect of the military uniform. If it's discontinued, regs don't apply to it as far as I know.

I Do Still Have Most Of My Uniforms And Yes They Still Fit,
I Wear My Camo BDU’S With All The Name Tapes And Rank Removed ,For Hunting , Same With The Field Jacket.
I Wear My Dress Blues For Military Funerals ( Sadly Too Many Of Those The Past Few Years) The Curse Of Getting Old.
But As For Wearing The Army Greets As A Suit Without The Insignia.
No Way ! I Never Liked That Color

SPC James Neidig Haha, it did make us look like pickles, especially the light green shirt. I still think it looks better than our dress blues though.
