Sgm crump
So I was perusing Army Times and saw this little Gem:

http://www.armytimes.com/article/20110309/NEWS/103090328/Ex-Walter-Reed-CSM-sentenced-to-6-months

From the article:

Some of the offenses admitted by Crump include wearing six awards and decorations from March to December of 2009, including the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with Arrowhead device, which indicates — contrary to military records — that he made a combat jump into Grenada. He admitted he wore a U.S. Navy Achievement Medal without authority since 2006 and, on three occasions, two or three unauthorized overseas service bars.

Do you think that the CSM was fined too harshly, just right, or not enough?

I will reserve my comments for now.

he did wrong after years of doing right having made csm. i am not justifying his lack of good judgement especially being the ultimate subject matter expert on wearing the uniform and medals. retire him and be done. he will still get e9 pay regardless how much you reduce his rank

I guess I have mixed emotions on the whole issue. And not knowing his actual career, state of mind it doesnt make it a black and white issue with me. That is the one problem with any type of legal system. The UCMJ is what it is, but I am not an attorney nor would I want to be. To easy to make judgements on people when we could all be judged one day, and sentenced under a false or overblown scenario.

His Offense ended his career. I feel that is sufficient. no matter what his reduction in rank is unless his courts martial eliminated his pay and allowances he will still get e-9 retired pay.

A Medal of Honor recipient should know better, and yet he still did this. WHY?

He didn't deserve that, sure it makes everyone else look bad if he didn't really earn them, but he is in a leadership position, anything coming out of his mouth is bound to be bullshit from the gate...

No such thing as leaders, only misinformed followers...

SPC Kel Rowland . I am agreeing with you. Holy crap! He is not a bad guy in my book, he made mistakes. The abusers were the bad guys and women who were actually committing crimes against people physically.

I think that he should be forced into retirement and cant collect any of his pension plus jail time. This is starting to get out of hand along with military posers

His superiors decided on his punishment and I am fine with that. Every time I think of Crump's actions my head spins. How could anyone that rose to his rank be that incredibly stupid? Question. In the photo of him above being escorted, is Crump in cuffs? His hands seem to be hidden.

At what point are these guys gonna stop trying to claim something that they didn't earn? I read the other day that an officer at Ft. Benning was caught wearing a Ranger tab that he didn't earn. Talk about balls and a serious lack of respect.
