SGT (Join to see) SFABs are to train the Host Nation that we are supporting in whatever MOS that the unit is. So you would be teaching mechanics how to maintain equipment, etc. Deployments are expected to be often, though not 100% fact yet as they are just standing them up and creating more. Imagine a unit stripped of the "Joes and Janes" and just leadership that will pair off with Host Nation forces to train them. Lowest rank is E5 (E4 get promoted to E5 without board after completing the training).

Check out armyreenlistment.com. It has all the answers. Click on the SFAB icon in the left. Hope that helps.

Security Force Assistance Brigades are specialized units whose core mission is to conduct training, advising, assisting, enabling and accompanying operations with allied and partner nations. Though highly trained and considered among the Army’s top tactical leaders, SFAB Soldiers are not Special Forces. The Army just updated its list of re-up bonuses. Here’s who qualifies for some big money.
The Army is offering big bonuses for soldiers to join its security force assistance brigades, as well as to a few under-strength jobs at Fort Bliss.
