DEP’ed in for Air Force,haven’t chosen a job yet, want to change enlistment years. Is it still possible?

I was recently DEP’ed in for the Air Force and was wondering if I could change from 6 years active duty to 2 or 4 because I’m not really sure I want to serve active duty that long. I was told by close family friends that served in the Army and Marine Corps that as long as I haven’t chosen a job and had still not sworn in the second time before BMT that I could do this but I need validation from someone in the Air Force.
