I’m married and I’m 19 and going to go get my ltc(license to carry) read up on the legislation 18 active duty can get there ltc and through texas statue I can obtain a gun through private sale I jus want to know would I be able to register said gun on post being as though I’m 19?

You can not purchase a handgun in Texas if you are under 21 regardless of being Active Duty (Texas Government Code 411 Sub Chapter H )

While I'm not versed in Texas law, there is sometimes a provision regarding a gift or private sale of firearm that may be applicable here. Some states also have a law regarding military personnel, typically around the age of 19. Does Texas have anything regarding that?

Per texas statute you can purchase a gun through private sale you can’t purchase through a FFL dealer I already know that I’m asking about registering a handgun on post SSG David McPherson SPC (Join to see)
