I don't see any changes in HRC. Maybe they are in talks to get it changed.
But I don't see it on the regs.

AR 600–8–29 still shows 18 months.

Dammnit Sir, You are a leader- you don't know how to read the regs/bulletins? Leaders do not operate on hearsay, we operate on KNOWLEDGE! Also, how many of us do you think keep up with butter bars- unless you were issued one.

The time in grade fluctuates between 18 and 24 months depending on the needs of the Army. While we have been at war is has stayed at 18 months. I wouldn’t expect a change until we get out of the Middle East.

I find that of interest...I was USAF, I dont know how they do it now, though, when I was in,t the rule for line, which o was, though I'd wanted the clinicàl side, i was never able to switch, was that line pinned on at the 2 yr point plus one day...as I said, that was then, this is now, and I was USSF, not Army, however, that was the rule at the time....

For USAR, it has always been 36 months. For AUS, I have seen it from 12 to 18 to 24 months, depending on need for Captains. For USA, I am not sure, never kept up with it.
