I raised a child who had to deal with ADD issues - I had never heard of "OOH SHINY!" until this administration...

Unfortunately the majority of the American voters are easily distracted, deceived, and confused. They have shown off their new Benghazi suspect and once it becomes clear that this was also a Presidential screw up they will shift blame and move onto another object.

Did the trade for SGT Bergdahl take some attention away from the VA issues?

Of course it did. Then the mess in Iraq took attention away from this mean. The mess in Iraq than lost it's world attention to the World Cup Soccer Tournament.

It's no secret that the general public moves from one hot topic to the next. If you really want to see this in action, log onto Google News and watch how fast the different hot topics change.

I believe they refer to that in the TM as "Proper use of smoke and mirrors."

I think the important issue was getting that Dr Oz character. Now I can sleep at night!

I had some issues with the VA and I do think they do well in many ways but there are those where they fall flat.

Everything that is being done has an ulterior motives these days. I have never seen this much pandering such President Carter.

Yes it did. Once Secretary Shinseki resigned, nobody really cared anymore because the person being blamed had already stepped down. So there was really no one we can put on the television and villify for doing such horrible job. In other news, a Malaysian commercial airliner carrying 180+ passenger remains to be lost at sea with authoriites having no real clue on where the wreckage is located. Also in Africa, 300 African teenage girls who were kidnapped from their school are still being held in an unknown location by terrorists.

They were looking every were asking questions.
So the VA issue is not over.

Maybe the real question is will they ever run out of distractions?? Seems almost uncanny that every time a topic heats up... BOOM! Distraction. Are they stored in a closet somewhere or something?

I believe that at the congressional and presidential CIF they are issued a rolodex of distractions for quick reference. They are all organized and given corresponding numbers so they can stay on the same page (all are issued different takes on the same situation)
