Did Trump break "The Pledge" first and/or was Cruz justified in breaking off his end of the deal?

The video clearly shows multiple candidates breaking The Pledge; however, only Cruz seems to be bearing the brunt of this. It could be because Cruz is his own man and does what he wants/speaks his mind. Some people think that Cruz just lies all the time. Personally I don't get that point of view and frankly how do you know when a politician is lying?
I think that The Pledge was voided period. Trump said that he doesn't want or need Cruz's support but Cruz gave a great speech praising the party and the platform. It was starting to sound like he was making the case for buyers remorse which is where it differed from Reagan in 1976. However, after personal attacks on his family rather than policy attacks on his positions, I don't really blame Cruz for doing what he said he would not do several months ago.
This is my opinion, there are many like it but this one is mine.

I support your Very logical observation and analysis, time will tell how it hurts or favors him, but will add that Cruz is a lawyer and is applying a strategy.

Just in Ted Cruz would run in 2020 even if Trump is president, RNC official says, predictable, also it benefits his senate re-election bid.
Can't really argue with this comment. I don't talk to siblings who attacked my Mom in her declining years. “I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and who attack my father,” he said. Adding he would not be "a servile puppy dog" to the Trump campaign.
I admire a man who stands on principles, but that has no place in politics. If Trump wins he will be the head of the GOP and Cruz may as well join the Democrats (for which he would, of course, have to abandon all principles). If Trump loses, Cruz will belong to a dead party.

lets just do an initial non scientific analysis, Go to Hillary Clinton Facebook page look at her likes on there. Go to Gary Johnson do the same and then go to Donald trumps do the same. Which one has more people liking their page. Interesting is it not. But sir I really want to have some of whatever your smoking if you think that Hillary will take it. But its your opinion and i respect it, but i do think your a tad bit wrong in your View of what is going to happen.

SPC Travis Hopkinson - I am sure you had the same opinion about Romney chances of winning the presidency. There are not enough angry white males for Donald Trump to win in the general.

MAJ Carl Ballinger - "he is just trying to get Libs riled." This would be a better approach to that endstate!
