Did you enjoy jumping into a pile of freshly raked leaves when you were young?

When I was young growing up in the northeastern USA the fall was a great time to play in the leaves. Parents and others raked up piles of leaves and we jumped into them or where playfully tossed into them.
When my own sons were old enough to enjoy it I enjoyed tossing them into the leaves and tried to get them to help rake them back up so we had bigger piles to jump into.
How many of you enjoyed playing in piles of leaves? Do you still enjoy it?

I love jumping in leaves. Now I am an adult and have to rake my leaves, but I still throw my kid in the pile. I make him help me rake, and then he jumps in the big pile.

My favorite time with Papa was spent outside; while he worked in the garden. I would 'hide' in his raked piles-full of lots of branches and leaves-and pretend they were forts....for squirrels, maybe?! LOL I simply adored my father; and I adored being with him outside.

I am glad that you have such wonderful memories of playing with your father SPC Margaret Higgins

Thank you, LTC Stephen F.. Yes, Papa was a civil defense lawyer; until he was appointed by the late President Ronald Reagan- to become a Federal Administrative Law Judge.
Needless to say, I am very, Very proud of my late father.

I always had to rerake them afterwards but I still enjoyed it. I didn't make my kids or grandkids rake them because part of my was them jumping in as I was raking them. Fond memories.
