I had a sales person tell my boss that every person that transitions to a duty station gets this directory or one like it targeted toward their base. I question this because I only remember seeing these in the company office. My question is, does her sales pitch carry any weight?

I saw one once for NAS Whidbey Island but it was already 2 years out of date in 2005 and it wasn't issued to me directly. Never even seen one for the other bases I've been on.

No...never in 25 years. I would take the old version home when they got updated.
