In most churches that I have attended, it is in a single spot overseen by the minister or a senior lay person, or the minister or a senior lay person carries it through the congregation. Since the church in question is a non-denominational church, they may not abide by what is customary in other churches, so others not just Mr. Trump could make a similar mistake.
