Do any graduates of Master Leader Course (MLC) have insights or lessons learned they can share?

Its a long 15 day course, very challenging. Be prepared to do six executive summaries two will be graded they will concentrate on the NCO Common Core Competencies. You will have A 3-5 page paper on a subject area they give you, be sure to look over APA style of writing. Be sure to start on your paper as soon as you get the subject. You will have 2 SAE essays to do in the DEP format each essay is a hour and half. Now you can use your notes for the SAE and it helps, so take good notes and get with your class mates and look over them together to ensure you have everything. The toughest thing for me was the SAEs you must select the correct definition and then explain them. Example servant leadership definition, then explain the two constructs and define the 10 principles, then you must put them in an example threw two view points. It's a lot of typing and not a lot of time to complete 4 of them in 90 min. What helped me was I wrote out my examples on note cards for every section so if one of my questions was whitin that area all I had to do was use my note card. It was very challenging for me 3-4 hours of sleep for 15 days but I was able to push threw it. A lot of the topics I had never seen before in the NG so start looking in the ADP's that cover mission command and offense, defense. If you have any more questions let me know

The first paper is called a PEE which is not part of your GPA. Then you have to write a paper which is 40% of your grade. Also be prepared to write a paper and, if typing is not your strong point, then I recommend work on it.

I got mine about a month out from the class date and as SFC Espinoza said you will have to write a paper to send in before you go. Just remember time management, good luck.
